App supporting the American Diabetes Association's second annual Walking Challenge, supported by AstraZeneca. The Walking Challenge will be held during the ADA's 76th Anniversary Scientific Sessions held June 10 - 14, 2016 in New Orleans, Louisiana
The Challenge will encourage Session attendees to “walk the walk” and engage in some friendly competition. The ADA will be providing Bluetooth connected Activity Trackers (in ADA Red) to the first 1,200 Walking Challenge participants. These trackers will track the number of steps you take during Sessions and then wirelessly send that data to a custom ADA Challenge app on your iOS device. The top 25 individual steppers and total number of cumulative participant steps will be displayed on plasmas screens at select convention site locations including AstraZeneca’s exhibitor booth (#105).
The ADA challenges all attendees, and those participating in the challenge to take 76,000 steps over the days of the event to commemorate our 76 years of service to those affected by diabetes.
